Eclipse Glue-Free (GF) Rubber

With our EclipseGF – Glue Free – EC Rubber, we saw an opportunity to prevent problems with high vapor concrete and to address fast-track construction. EclipseGF rubber use the same high-performance base material as our award-winning EclipseEC rubber tiles and provides all the same benefits–with the added advantage of being glue free and moisture resistant.

Like any resilient flooring material, standard Eclipse rubber requires pre-installation testing of subfloors for vapor, buckets of glue, troweling or spraying, clean-up, curing times, and possible downtime. This can present problems for companies with fast-track projects or those that can’t afford to shut down. With EclipseGF you get a fast, clean installation. And you can bypass vapor testing with EclipseGF.

Quick, Easy, Glue-free Installation

EclipseGF has a pre-applied, solvent-free, self-adhesive backing, allowing for clean, fast installation. Just peel the protective adhesive, roll the material onto the subfloor and start walking. Installing with dry, seamless tape makes for a quick, easy installation with no messy glue, along with simple maintenance – for the best performance of any resilient ESD flooring.

Glue-free advantages:

EclipseGF can be applied directly over existing VCT and epoxy.

Prevents Vapor Emission

Moisture is the enemy of many flooring installations. Typically, concrete must be tested for vapor emission before ESD flooring is installed. This is not the case with EclipseGF.

With EclipseGF, there are no extra costs for supplies and labor and cleaning is fast, easy and inexpensive – offering the lowest lifetime cost of ownership of any resilient flooring.

GF rubber makes contact with 100% of the concrete subfloor, ensuring a surface that is always flat, always even, always aesthetically pleasing.

High Moisture, Occupied Space? EclipseGF Is Your Solution

Reemulsified Conductive Adhesive

Vapor emissions as well as other  environmental factors can affect installation.

No moisture limits. No need for pH or RH testing. No wait for drying or cleaning messy adhesives. Ready for use immediately after installation.

Customers tell us that EclipseGF is seamless on many levels. It makes contact with 100% of the concrete below, ensuring a surface that is always flat, even, and aesthetically pleasing.

Seamless - Ideal for Cleanrooms or Labs

The preferred choice for almost any environment, EclipseGF rubber can be installed as a seamless floor, offering special benefits for clean rooms and labs, where downtime and contamination can’t be tolerated.

Glue-free is hassle-free – for maximum flexibility and convenience. Just roll it on and start walking.  Can be applied directly over existing VCT and epoxy.

Superior ESD Properties

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) affects two different environments:

Type 1 – Electronics manufacturing and component handling

Static generation must be < 100 volts
Used with ESD-protective footwear, EC rubber generates < 10 volts.

Type 2 – End-user spaces such as call centers, control rooms, data centers, server rooms, banking, and government offices (among others).

In these spaces, static generation must be < 400 volts. EC Rubber generates < 400 volts on regular (non ESD footwear).

EclipseEC Rubber - Intrinsically Antistatic

In any worksite that manufactures, handles or uses sensitive electronic equipment, static discharge presents a risk to equipment and/or operations. While ESD flooring is designed to prevent static generation, ESD PVC vinyl and epoxy coatings do not work without the use of special static-protective footwear. In facilities where workers don’t wear ESD-protective footwear, PVC ESD flooring can actually generate static electricity.

Fault-tolerant, EclipseEC rubber is intrinsically anti-static. This means, the floor will inhibit static on persons wearing ordinary footwear. In spaces such as call centers, PSAPs, flight towers, banks and other end user spaces where ESD-protective footwear is not used, StaticWorx Eclipse rubber will generate under 400 volts of static electricity – well under the voltage that can damage or destroy electronic components.

With static-control footwear – e.g. in an electronics manufacturing or SMT facility – charge generation is under 10 volts, according to ESD STM97.2 (tested with conductive shoes).

ESD Standards

EclipseEC and GF Rubber meet all the critical domestic and international industry standards, including:

Our EC Rubber is Class-0 ESD-certified, ensuring maximum protection for your worksite.

The static-control performance of StaticWorx EC rubber is not only guaranteed – it’s warrantied for the life of your floor.

Most static control specifications over-emphasize whether a floor is “conductive” or “static dissipative.” Since ANSI/ESD S20.20, that sort of calculus is no longer relevant.
